We’ve been writing practical Italy advice from Rome since 2014. The app just puts it in your pocket.

Before and during your trip

Plan it well. Keep it working.

Italy on Foot helps you make better decisions before departure, then gives you practical support when the day changes.

01

Plan a route that works

Choose cities and nights, compare options, and avoid a trip that only looks easy on a map.

02

Run Trip Check before you book

Catch impossible days, missing tickets, bad transfers, closed-day problems, hotel-price spikes, and early flights after late nights.

03

Use it when plans change

Open Today, check the Map, or ask the Concierge where to eat, what to cut, and what to do when plans change.

Built for real Italy trips

The decisions that usually live in thirty open tabs.

Italy on Foot turns them into one route you can plan, check, and actually use.

  • “A museum is closed. What now?”

Questions before you choose

A few useful answers.

The important details, without sending you through another page of small print.

Can I use Italy on Foot for free?

You can browse Explore and read individual Italian city pages without paying or creating an account. Saving cities, comparing destinations, building a trip, and accessing the Concierge require a paid pass.

Which pass should I choose?

Choose Trip Pass for one upcoming Italy trip or if you are already in Italy. Choose Italy Year if you need longer to plan or may take more than one Italy trip within 12 months.

What is a trip window?

A trip window is used when you build a full itinerary, rebuild the complete itinerary, or start an already-in-Italy trip. Trip Pass includes one trip window, while Italy Year includes up to three.

What uses a credit?

One credit is used for a new Concierge reply or a generated revision of one itinerary day. A Concierge question with a photo uses two credits. Building or rebuilding a full itinerary uses a trip window instead.

What does not use credits?

Opening your saved trip, reading Today, viewing the Map, checking previously generated plans, reading earlier Concierge replies, and checking your credit balance do not use credits.

Can I buy more credits later?

Yes. Travellers with an active pass can add 75 credits for €9 or 150 credits for €15. Italy Year travellers can also add another trip window for €19.

Is the app the same as the PDF guides?

No. PDF guides are fixed destination guides sold separately from the app. The app is personalized to your dates, route, saved trip, food needs, walking comfort, and what is happening during your day.

Do I need to download the app?

No. Italy on Foot is a web app that works in your browser. You can add it to your phone’s home screen for quicker access to Today, Map, and the Concierge. An internet connection is required while using the app.

Does the app replace official ticket websites?

No. It helps you understand what to book, when to book it, and what to prioritize. Final ticket purchases, transport times, availability, and time-sensitive opening hours should still be verified with official sources.

Will anything renew automatically?

No. Trip Pass and Italy Year are one-time access purchases. Nothing renews automatically.

Can I request a refund?

Yes. You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase.
