The Arriva Italia airport coach leaves from Piazza Carlo Felice 39, directly opposite Torino Porta Nuova station. It is line 268 for Torino Airport at Caselle, with a mix of EXPRESS and stopping services. For the Turin Airport bus at Porta Nuova, the easiest ticket is usually a €7.50 contactless purchase onboard, while large luggage needs a little more attention because Arriva publishes specific baggage-ticket rules.
Allow roughly 45 to 50 minutes to the airport under normal conditions, but do not build a tight flight connection around that estimate. This is a road service and traffic can affect arrival times.
Where the airport bus actually stops at Porta Nuova

The important address is Piazza Carlo Felice 39. The stop is outside the railway station rather than inside a separate bus terminal.
After arriving by train, follow Uscita signs toward the main frontage and Piazza Carlo Felice. Once outside, look for the Arriva stop opposite the station at number 39. The route number to look for is 268, and the destination may be shown as Torino Airport, Aeroporto Torino, Caselle Aeroporto, or similar wording.
This location is worth checking carefully because the stop moved temporarily in summer 2026. During that disruption buses used Corso Vittorio Emanuele II at the corner of Via Camerana. Arriva officially restored the regular Piazza Carlo Felice terminus on 20 July 2026, and the Via Camerana stop was withdrawn.
If an old blog post, saved map pin, or hotel instruction sends you to Via Camerana, use the current Arriva information instead. The operator’s airport-line page is the best place to check for a fresh diversion before travelling.
Do not confuse the Arriva stop with the other airport coach
Turin has more than one coach connection to the airport. Arriva’s line 268 uses Piazza Carlo Felice beside Porta Nuova. Flibco uses a different terminal on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 131.
Those stops are not interchangeable. If your ticket says Arriva, line 268, or Piazza Carlo Felice, do not walk to the Flibco terminal simply because you see an airport coach there.
How often line 268 runs
Arriva operates the airport connection every day of the year. The official airport information describes departures at roughly 15- or 30-minute intervals, with a mixture of faster EXPRESS runs and services making intermediate stops.
The stopping pattern matters more than it first appears. An EXPRESS departure is the better choice when one is leaving soon because it skips the local stops used by the regular route. A stopping service can call at places including Porta Susa and locations farther north through Turin, Borgaro and Caselle.
Check the departure itself rather than assuming every bus follows the same pattern. Sundays and public holidays also have a different service pattern from ordinary weekdays. The official Turin Airport bus page links to the latest timetable.
Tickets: the easiest ways to pay
The standard full-route fare between central Turin and the airport is currently €7.50 one way. Arriva also advertises a promotional €11 return fare, subject to the current fare conditions.
Contactless onboard
For most visitors, contactless is the least complicated option. Board the correct line 268 bus and tap a physical contactless bank card or a card stored on a compatible phone at the onboard reader.
For the full Turin-centre-to-airport journey, Arriva currently charges the normal €7.50 fare with contactless and does not add the usual onboard surcharge. One card can be used to buy up to three full-route tickets. For multiple passengers, use the reader’s multiple-ticket function and tap separately for each ticket as instructed onboard.
Keep using the same payment method if an inspector asks you to demonstrate the purchase.
Arriva MyPay app
You can also buy the airport fare through Arriva MyPay. The important detail is activation: activate the ticket immediately before boarding.
Once activated, the app ticket is valid for 50 minutes. The QR code is shown to staff rather than scanned by a validator. Activating it while you are still eating breakfast several streets away is therefore a poor idea, especially if you then miss the intended bus.
Online and WhatsApp tickets
Arriva also sells tickets through its online portal and Chat&Go service on WhatsApp. A ticket bought through the portal does not reserve a seat on a particular departure. It can be used on an eligible service during the selected travel day.
That flexibility is useful if you arrive at Porta Nuova later than expected. By contrast, an already activated app ticket has its 50-minute clock running.
What not to buy
A normal GTT urban ticket for Turin’s metro, tram or city buses is not automatically an airport-coach ticket. Line 268 is an Arriva extra-urban service with its own fare rules. Arriva also accepts certain Formula passes covering the required zones, but most short-stay visitors will simply use the airport fare.
The luggage rule that is easy to miss

Arriva’s published conditions for its Turin local-public-transport services state that each passenger may carry one item up to 50 × 30 × 25 cm free of charge. Additional pieces, or bags exceeding those dimensions, require the appropriate luggage ticket.
That means a typical airline checked suitcase is larger than the formally published free allowance.
Arriva’s ticket information says the ticket for additional or oversized luggage is charged at 50% of the applicable passenger fare and, importantly, cannot be bought onboard. If you are travelling with a full-size suitcase, it is sensible to deal with the luggage ticket before reaching the bus rather than assuming you can sort it out with the driver at departure.
Arriva’s general FAQ also says small hand luggage that fits overhead can remain inside the coach, while anything that cannot be accommodated there must go into the external luggage compartment. Acceptance of excess baggage can depend on available hold space.
The wording across Arriva’s published luggage pages is not perfectly uniform, so travelers carrying unusually large cases, several bags, sports equipment, or other bulky items should confirm the current rule with Arriva before departure.
Where a large suitcase goes
Do not drag a full-size roller into the passenger cabin and leave it beside the door. Coaches used on the airport route have external luggage compartments for items that cannot fit safely inside.
Wait for the driver or staff to indicate where your case should be loaded. Keep your passport, wallet, medication, electronics, keys and other valuables in a small bag with you.
Arriva has specifically warned passengers to watch luggage stored in the external compartments, including while the coach is standing at its terminus and during intermediate stops. A luggage tag and a distinctive strap are cheap insurance against taking the wrong black suitcase, while keeping an eye on the hold when passengers get off reduces the risk of something disappearing accidentally or otherwise.
For the wider boarding sequence used on Italian airport coaches, including how luggage holds and intermediate stops work, see our guide to airport bus boarding in Italy.
What happens when you board
- Reach Piazza Carlo Felice a few minutes before the published departure.
- Check that the vehicle is Arriva Italia line 268 and is travelling toward Torino Airport.
- If you have a large case, deal with the luggage compartment before settling into a seat.
- Tap contactless, show your digital ticket, or validate the appropriate ticket according to its type.
- Keep the ticket or payment method available throughout the journey.
- Take a seat rather than standing around the doors or luggage area.
Arriva’s conditions say passengers should arrive at the boarding point slightly before the scheduled time. The bus can also refuse additional passengers once its permitted capacity has been reached, so arriving at the exact departure minute is unnecessary gambling before a flight.
Children, strollers and mobility equipment
Arriva’s general Turin rules allow a child under one metre tall to travel free with an accompanying adult, normally one free child per adult and without occupying a separate seat.
Strollers can remain open only where the vehicle has an appropriate space and it is safe to do so. A wheelchair user has priority over a stroller in a shared accessible area, so be prepared to fold the stroller if required.
If accessibility is a deciding factor rather than merely a preference, confirm the vehicle arrangements with the operator ahead of travel rather than assuming every departure uses identical equipment.
How much time to allow before a flight
The airport and Arriva quote approximately 45 to 50 minutes for the road journey, but that is not a promise that the bus will reach the terminal exactly on schedule. Traffic, roadworks, weather and temporary route changes can all add time.
Work backward from the time your airline expects you at check-in, bag drop or security, not from the scheduled take-off time. A bus that should arrive 90 minutes before departure leaves very little recovery room if you have checked baggage and the road is slow.
If your wider trip includes several rail and airport transfers, you can build your Italy itinerary around realistic connection times rather than treating every scheduled arrival as an instant transfer.
If you miss the bus
First check the next line 268 departure. With frequencies commonly around 15 to 30 minutes during much of the operating day, missing one coach does not necessarily mean abandoning the bus option.
If you bought through Arriva’s online portal, the ticket is associated with the selected day rather than one reserved departure, so another eligible run may solve the problem. If you activated a MyPay ticket too early, check the remaining 50-minute validity before boarding the next service.
If the delay now threatens your flight, compare the next bus with a taxi rather than waiting simply because you have already paid €7.50. The lost bus fare is cheaper than the lost flight.
At the airport
Line 268 serves Torino Airport at the Arrivals level. For the return trip into Turin, airport passengers can also buy tickets from the automatic machine in the Arrivals area before going outside.
Check whether your departure is EXPRESS or stopping, especially if you want Porta Nuova rather than another Turin stop. On arrival in the city, make sure you have all luggage out of the external compartment before walking away from the bus.
Temporary road restrictions can occasionally move the city terminus again. When a current Arriva service notice names a replacement stop, that notice takes precedence over saved map pins, hotel printouts and old travel articles.
